Serendipity Photography is me, Lynn Fothergill, lover of life, learning and photography.

My photography journey has lead me down many paths, including gaining my Licentiate with the PSNZ (Photographic Society of NZ) and completing my Diploma of Digital Photography through the Southern Institute of Technology in 2018. 

Over the years I have built up a strong portfolio of work across a range of genres including birds and wildlife, travel, dogs, street, sport and my personal favourite, photographing children.

In 2019, after being asked by so many people to photograph their children and wider family,  I decided to bite the bullet and launch a boutique photography business. Having worked in primary school education for all of my working life, I have a natural ability to engage with and engender the trust of children. My ultimate goal is to capture the essence of a child, a relationship between people or some other moment of magic or joy. 

I shoot primarily in outdoor natural light, and am happy to travel with a 60 minute radius of my home in Manurewa, South Auckland, to your home or preferred location, or we can meet at a reserve local to me. 

I always spend time getting to know you and your family before embarking on a shoot. A trusting relationship is key, and the photos will be more authentic as a result. When it comes to photographing children, patience is my middle name.
